In 2007 I decided to expand my scope of skills and entered the real estate and mortgage lending business after a 40 year career with IBM as a field engineer and network programmer.
It was time to work directly with people instead of machines and I found it very exciting and satisfying. Solving problems had been my career choice and I felt that I could use the same skills that I had learned in my previous employment. I was not wrong since today’s real estate market and mortgage lending business definitely pose a series of obstacles and problems that require knowledge, tenacity, patience and above all respect and commitment to do the best job for your client. These are the skills I learned at IBM and what I use to bring realistic and logical solutions to the financial needs of my clients.
I hope to have the opportunity and honor to be your real estate and/or mortgage loan representative in your acquisition of your new home and/or addition to your current real estate holdings.
My family migrated to the United States from Mexico when I was in primary school. After graduating from high school in Oakland, CA, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps where I learned to be an officer and a gentleman. I served in a Marine Corps Air Wing where I received my training that proved useful when I was hired by IBM upon my release. My two brothers followed my military path and all three of us found ourselves in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam conflict.
I am married and have two daughters (both school teachers), one son (Doctor of Oriental Medicine) and seven grandchildren (future doctors, inventors and Nobel prize winners).
Former member and Vice President of the San Jose Flying Doctors (Los Medicos Voladores). This group makes monthly flying excursions into northern Mexico to bring badly needed doctors and dentists to isolated villages in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua and Baja California free of charge.
I was a high school tutor during my employment at IBM and created and taught a computer class at the Street Academy in Oakland for high school drop outs.
Long time contributor of the Police Memorial Fund, Ebbet’s Pass Fire Fighters, VFW, Viet Nam Memorial Fund and many other charitable organizations.
