I am a full time real estate professional since 2004. I help and guide people with their real Estate needs. These experiences have given me an extensive knowledge as well as allowed me to become an active member and a part of a variety of people. I am well aware of Bay area community and its people. I take pride in serving their real estate needs. My business is built upon my personal ties. Professional experiences are the hallmark of my image that I provide to turn a property into a home. My personal network combined with Buyers realty and Mortgage magic services give my clients a distinct advantage when buying or selling a home. Being aware of the fact that everyone’s needs are different, and sometimes that doesn’t involve a purchase or sale. There are times when you need a qualified professional to take the next step to collect information before to make a decision. I can help you arrive at decisions that involve not just whether to buy or sell, but how that decision affects you today, tomorrow, and for the long term. I strive to understand your specific real estate needs and meet your expectations.
I have been in the Real Estate and loan industry since 1998. I find the business truly gratifying in helping people achieve the American dream of home ownership. I grew up in the Midwest, Chicago area, but have lived in California since age 21. Still a diehard Cubs fan. I have enjoyed playing the guitar for many years. I love the movies and consider myself a closet screenwriter, a hobby I have had for a few years. I also spend my free time taking digital photographs, along with a little golf in the summer and snow skiing in the winter. Another factor in my decision to join our company was their belief in giving back to the community. I look forward to contributing in the many charity events our company is involved with for many years to come.
I’ve been serving clients in real estate and mortgage lending since 2003 in Santa Clara and Alameda counties. Client satisfaction is my top priority. I take the time to understand each client’s unique needs, and work thoroughly yet efficiently to achieve the best results. I firmly believe in providing exceptional service built on a foundation of honesty and trust.
I’ve worked in the real estate industry since 1987, during that time, I’ve established a reputation with my clients as an honest, hard working agent whose motivation is to give them the best possible service while presenting realistic solutions to their financial situation.
In 2007 I decided to expand my scope of skills and entered the real estate and mortgage lending business after a 40 year career with IBM as a field engineer and network programmer. It was time to work directly with people instead of machines and I found it very exciting and satisfying. Solving problems had been my career choice and I felt that I could use the same skills that I had learned in my previous employment. I was not wrong since today’s real estate market and mortgage lending business definitely pose a series of obstacles and problems that require knowledge, tenacity, patience and above all respect and commitment to do the best job for your client. These are the skills I learned at IBM and what I use to bring realistic and logical solutions to the financial needs of my clients. I hope to have the opportunity and honor to be your real estate and/or mortgage loan representative in your acquisition of your new home and/or addition to your current real estate holdings. My family migrated to the United States from Mexico when I was in primary school. After graduating from high school in Oakland, CA, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps where I learned to be an officer and a gentleman. I served in a Marine Corps Air Wing where I received my training that proved useful when I was hired by IBM upon my release. My two brothers followed my military path and all three of us found ourselves in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam conflict. I am married and have two daughters (both school teachers), one son (Doctor of Oriental Medicine) and seven grandchildren (future doctors, inventors and Nobel prize winners). Former member and Vice President of the San Jose Flying Doctors (Los Medicos Voladores). This group makes monthly flying excursions into northern Mexico to bring badly needed doctors and dentists to isolated villages in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua and Baja California free of charge. I was a high school tutor during my employment at IBM and created and taught a computer class at the Street Academy in Oakland for high school drop outs. Long time contributor of the Police Memorial Fund, Ebbet’s Pass Fire Fighters, VFW, Viet Nam Memorial Fund and many other charitable organizations.
Joe Myerchin is an entrepreneur and Sales Professional of 30 years. 1980’s: Joe’s consulting firm acted as a productivity analyst, (trouble Shooter), for one of the largest resort companies in the U.S. This involved travel, evaluating and reviewing operations, relieving the existing management of their duties, and replacing the management and staff for more suitable performance. 1990’s: Joe was vice President of Orion Outdoor Media, (the largest privately held outdoor media company in California at the time). Outdoor Media is not just advertising, but also Real Estate. Joe pioneered the “Crown Jewels” of the bill board industry on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood CA. First, securing leases from the landlords, then, navigating through city planning commissions and city councils, (and public opposition), to secure the permits. Secondly, he sold out all the ad space to major advertisers and ad firms. That led to the eventual sale of the company for undisclosed millions of dollars. 2000’s: Joe has been a real estate professional for almost 20 years and co-owned a mortgage and real estate firm in Costa Mesa, CA, Ideal Financial Solutions. The sales and management of over a 100 million, in real estate and mortgage gives him an insight to the financial markets from multiple consumer points of view.
Entering the real estate industry started by first dabbing in buying and selling real estate on a personal level. Almost 40 years later, it has been a pleasure in successfully helping hundreds of clients achieve their dreams. I was born and raised in Hawaii and came to California in 1968. I attended and have obtained a double associate degree in both Liberal Arts and Paralegal Studies. I attended San Jose University to complete my advanced education. I have a daughter who is married and lives in San Jose with my three AWESOME grandsons Kaleb, Cameron and Cody. My greatest pleasure is spending time with them. I also love to dance, draw, paint, floristry, gardening, hiking, biking, Tai Chi and Qigong. I am an active volunteer member of DAT (Disaster Action Team) for the Santa Clara County Chapter of the American Red Cross. My expertise is in shelter simulation and my training covers the assistance to others in our communities nationwide when disaster strikes. I am also a long time contributor to the Cancer Society, Police Memorial Fund, Paralyzed Veterans of America, American Veterans in Foreign Wars among other charitable societies. I am also an active fund raiser and Marathon/Triathlon participant supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with the Team in Training … “GO TEAM!” I am a member of the San Jose Exchange Club, and do face painting for children for special events put on by the Exchange Club, American Cancer Society, Invision and different shelter organizations.
The residential real estate transaction is a journey and I am the person you want to be with on the trip. Why? I have been a lender since 1990 and of all the thousands of loans I have done during that time period, all have been on residential properties. I have done loans on properties valued at more than 30 million dollars and as little as $75,000 (long time ago). For many years Realtors called me asking how to structure a contract or I have had to call them and tell them to re-write a contract that would be accepted by the banks who were doing the financing. Because of my lending background I can protect sellers because I am going to review all offers with financing with a lenders eye. I also ensure that my buyers are are not only pre-approved but actually approved. This makes their offer a lot stronger. Mortgage Financing is a gig saw puzzle and many purchase transactions fall thru because of inadequate financing. I protect buyers and sellers in regards to financing. The paper work. This is the downfall or real weak area for most Realtors. Because of my background in loan processing and underwriting I am comfortable with the paper work and streamline it as much as possible for a real estate transaction. Lay the papers in a real estate file end to end and even a small file is longer than a football field. I not only navigate this paper work but explain all the papers to the clients in easy to understand terms. I make the clients feel comfortable. These are three reasons to deal with me (but I have many more !) 1. I know how to structure the contract 2. I know financing better than any Realtor and 3> I make the mountains of paper work east for my clients. I make the stressful real estate journey a lot less stressful. Licensed in real estate since January 2007. Cal BRE 01789069

Welcome to my page. I am a native of Mexico, and am the oldest of six children. My family immigrated to the US when I was 7 years old and lived in East Los Angeles for a couple of years. At the age of nine, my family continued our northward trek to San Jose where my family settled in a small house in East San Jose. My parents were determined to buy a home, even if it was the most modest, and in dire need of repairs, but it at least was affordable. After attending the local public schools, I continued my studies at Santa Clara University. There I studied biology and psychology. As a graduate of Santa Clara University, I am proud of the first-class Jesuit education I received during my four intense years. I am dedicated to the values imparted by the Jesuit tradition at SCU: critical thinking and a love of life-long learning, upholding high ethical standards, and working to improve our community with dedication and compassion. Shortly after graduating from Santa Clara University, I proceeded to work with various financial consulting firms in Silicon Valley. I have over 22 years experience working with various financial firms, holding positions as a financial analyst, registered investment advisor and consultant. After seventeen years running a successful pension consulting firm, I retired from my career of helping employers and employees with their retirement pension needs, and proceeded to transfer my skills to my love of real estate. Ten years later, I continue to feel passionate about all aspects of real estate, and I am dedicated to help as many families as I can, to attain the many benefits of real estate. And in this wonderful endeavor I am extremely fortunate in that my husband, Lou Esquivel, is also a Realtor and a licensed lender, and my business partner. Together we make a great team and provide a valuable service to our clients. As much as I enjoy working with my clients, my husband and I also enjoy our time traveling around the world. In our last trip, we witnessed the natural beauty and the ancient and modern civilization of Peru. From the top of Machu Picchu, to the floating islands in Lake Titicaca, the whole experience was invigorating and unforgettable. When not traveling foreign lands, our calendar is filled with activities with our family and friends. Also hoping to play more tennis games, go biking and hiking, and there is also a small cabin in Bear Valley that we try to get to as often as we can. Buying or selling real estate is not easy for most of us. Any time we deal with a major purchase or investment, we will go through a roller coaster of emotions. It is not unusual that a property buyer will go from feeling euphoric after their offer is accepted, to feeling deep remorse at the thought of making a major financial commitment. Same with the home Seller – what if there is another buyer out there that will give them more money and ask for no concessions, if they just wait a little longer…the stress is unbearable. The role I play is to gently guide my clients thru the process, present all facts, from property comparables, to explaining the contract provisions and how I conduct my due diligence. I am a problem solver by nature. I see opportunities, not obstacles. It is my goal to be a resource for my clients, helping them to make an informed decision. I reduce my stress and live a happy life by doing my job thoughtfully and expeditiously. My clients trust me and know that I am the real estate professional that is looking out for their best interests.
Coming to San Jose and the Santa Clara valley at the age of eight years old, I have lived in the area for the majority of my life. I graduated high school and spent time in the Army working as security for the US Military Representative to NATO in Brussels, where I met my wife and have been married to since 1971. Upon my return I worked full time and obtained degrees in Mechanical Design and Business. I have two grown children Dominique and John and a grandson (best buddy) Brock. Living and working in the Santa Clara Valley’s High Tech Industry for many years I have an excellent knowledge of the business, economic and cultural environments of the area. I have bought and sold a number of properties for my wife and myself and currently personally manage my own rental property. Most recently I left my employment as a Senior Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin and made a decision to continue to apply my business and real estate knowledge and skills as my full time career. After reviewing other possible opportunities, I made the decision to join Buyers Realty based on personal knowledge of founder Doug Jones industry knowledge, honesty, integrity and commitment to his community.
